Alt.Fan.DragonBall little mirror

This is a small mirror for Alt.Fan.DragonBall, a usenet newsgroup. I began reading it a few time ago, and I copy here the posts I found interesting, fun or informative.

You can find lots of thing on this newsgroup, trolls, and also episodes summary (or more complete episode descriptions...) of Dragon Ball!

I translated some posts in french. See here

I was watching the episode of Dragonball in which Yamcha fights the
Invisible Man in Baba's tournament. When Yamcha begins to lose the
match because he can't see his opponent, Krillin (?) asks Goku to find
Bulma and Master Roshi and bring back a can of "tomato soup". Goku
tracks them down while they're on their way to a "picnic", and drags
them back to the tournament with him, after making sure beforehand
that they are carrying a can of tomato soup with them, even though
they clearly don't have anything of the sort. Once they get back,
there's a very clumsy edit where positions of characters seem to
change a bit, then Master Roshi opens the can of tomato soup in a
scene that looks like it was ripped from another anime. (It's a
close-up of someone's hand when they're opening a can of soda pop) The
it cuts to the Invisible Man being covered in "tomato soup".

I haven't seen the original episode, but I know that was horribly
mangled based on the transcripts I've read.

I thought that was hilarious, and actually somewhat clever. I think the hand
opening the can came from DB Movie #2.

Ahh, I remember when I posted a link to a manga scan of what really happened.
2MB image, and I got almost 200MB worth of hits on it. But now my server is
inaccessible. :(
